Remember when I told you I was going to Ocean Isle Inn?? Well I finally had the opportunity to visit Ocean Isle Inn as this months featured blogger with my family. I have to tell you that the atmosphere of this place is so humble. The staff was so kind and always greeted you with a smile whether you needed assistance with something or just passed them by. This was my very first time traveling to North Carolina’s coast and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Every morning we ate a complimentary breakfast. There was plenty to choose from as they had someone on staff readily available to offer up refills on everything they offered. Breakfast consisted of a variety of muffins, waffles, yogurt, cereals, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, coffee, etc. This was my first time ever using a waffle maker…(yea I know), and I think I became a bit of a pro at it! There is also a snack machine and a drink machine along with ice maker on site.
Our mornings usually started on the beach after breakfast. We rented umbrellas and chairs to use on the beach. The weather was absolutely gracious, and the kids enjoyed the sand and the waves. The best thing I liked about the beach, besides its calming and relaxing atmosphere, is that it’s not overly crowded. We enjoyed morning and evening walks while the children picked sea shells and ran themselves tired. If we weren’t enjoying the beach, the indoor and outdoor pools were a hit! We also enjoyed sitting in the gazebo and watching the waves crash ashore.
Ocean Isle Beach is a neat little place. The Museum of Coastal Carolina provides hands on activities for children. A park and miniature golf course is nearby. There were several restaurants to choose from. Our first visit to Sharky’s was awesome. We enjoyed great food in a relaxing atmosphere and had enough to take back to our room with us. We also visited Cinelli’s and had some Italian food. They offer you a discount for staying at Ocean Isle Inn. The Ocean Isle Creamery has an assortment of ice cream to choose from. Their banana pudding ice cream is to die for!
Ocean Isle Inn is also military friendly which is a huge plus in my book. They offer a military discount, and have several weddings that include military couples each year. Someone was even married on the beach the first day we arrived there. Ocean Isle Inn works with Step up for Soldiers, an organization dedicated to helping wounded warriors. They are definitely a military friendly company.
I also got the chance to meet two other fabulous bloggers, Jen from Jael Custom Designs and Michelle from The Bona Fide Life. I love the power of social media!
I will definitely be going back to Ocean Isle Inn. This is a hidden gem in my opinion that offers peace of mind and a family friendly atmosphere!
Check back soon as I will be offering a lucky reader a vacation getaway to Ocean Isle Inn! (Check the sidebar!)
Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received three complimentary nights at Ocean Isle Inn to facilitate this review.
