What to wear?
As the first thing, you should know what to wear when you are heading to Uganda in order to take part in the gorilla tours. Failing to wear appropriate dresses is the biggest mistake that people do when they are heading to Uganda for the gorilla trekking tours. Most of the people wear t-shirts, shorts, and sandals. They don’t even take any water and a daypack.
Gorilla trekking will not deliver a smooth and a convenient experience, which looks like visiting a local park. You will need to get hiking boots because you will have to spend your time while walking across muddy paths. If you go on gorilla trekking during the morning session, most of the paths that you have to go through are slippery. Therefore, slippers and sandals will not be able to help you. What else do you need to pack?

Then you will be able to make sure that the essentials you keep inside the daypack are dry at all times.

You need to carry a shower cap or a ziplock bag to protect your camera. Rains are unpredictable in the jungles of Uganda. Therefore, it is better if you can stay prepared to avoid hassle in the long run. Then you need to take a small first aid kit as well. It is a must to include band-aids within the first aid kit. You will need to take an insect repellant along with you as well. That’s because you will come across a lot of flies when you are trekking through the jungle during daytime.
Water And Food
Most importantly, you need to pack at least 2 liters of water. You can also get exhausted during the journey. To overcome frustration during such instances, you need to take a few energy bars or granola.
Sweater
If you take part in gorilla trekking during the night time or during early mornings, you will need to take a sweater. That’s because you will come across cold weather conditions, which can lead you towards discomfort. Some people prefer to spend their nights inside the jungle. Only the luxury lodges have fireplaces installed. Therefore, you must take a sweater to protect yourself from cold during the journey.
Rain Jacket
A light rain jacket should also be included within your daypack. As mentioned earlier, you cannot predict when the rains will fall into the jungles of Uganda. Therefore, it is better if you can stay prepared to overcome unexpected hassle. With the help of a light rain jacket, you will be able to receive much-needed assistance. However, you need to make sure that the rain jacket you pack is light as much as possible. That’s because you are not in a position to carry a large load when you are going on gorilla trekking. You expect your daypack to be light as much as possible. Then you will be able to avoid discomfort when you are taking it into the jungle.
Hat
