Breakfast Muffins

Breakfast muffins can be baked in a large batches and snacked on throughout the week. The difference between a breakfast muffin and a normal one is the ingredients. Here, you want to include oats, grated carrots, and nuts. It still gives the sweetness of a delicious muffin, but with more substance – the oats and nuts fill you up for longer, so your tummy isn’t growling all the way to lunch.

Granola Bars

Normally, you see the word “granola” and it just sounds boring. There are plenty of boring and tasteless granola bars out there – but there are just as many awesome ones. You can head to a grocery store to buy some (apple and cinnamon ones are my faves) or you could try making your own. It’s actually way easier than you think. All you have to do is mix oats with dried fruit, spices, and any other ingredients you want in there. Include something sticky – like honey or maple syrup – to bind the mixture together before molding it into bars and baking it in the oven.

Chocolate Scones

A firm favorite in many households; chocolate scones are a real treat. Perhaps best saved for weekends, these scones will ensure everyone has breakfast. They’re delightfully moreish and there are some amazing chocolate scones recipes out there to try. Some go a bit lighter on the chocolate than others; it’s entirely up to you and how much of a treat you want this snack to be. Again, it’s an easy grab-n-go thing you can have in the morning with a coffee

Pancakes/Waffles

Pancakes or waffles, what’s your favorite? It’s a debate that rages on in many households, but either choice makes for a delicious breakfast. You can buy pre-made pancakes and waffles just about anywhere, and they heat up in the toaster or oven with ease.

Of course, you can try to make your own – pancake mixture is super easy, as is waffle mix. Make sure you have a waffle iron if you go for the latter or else it just won’t be a waffle. Top either treat with your own choice of toppings; fruit, syrup, cream, yogurt, chocolate sauce, nuts, or anything else you can think of.

There you have it; four naughty breakfast snacks to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings. They’ll ensure you’re up in the morning eager to start your day with some food. While they are treats, they can also be pretty filling. Still, make sure you don’t have them every single day; mix in some other breakfasts to keep things fresh.
